A World of Welcome
It is with great pleasure that I greet you on the website of the Sisters of Charity of Saint Mary. I welcome you with open arms as Mother Marie Louise Angélique Clarac welcomed all those who came to her: children, the young and the elderly, religious and lay people. All were impressed by this woman of tireless zeal who so greatly helped the poor and underprivileged, both materially and spiritually.
The history of the Congregation began in Turin, Italy, in 1871. Since then, the spiritual heritage and the charisma of Mother Clarac have inspired many young girls to continue her work and join the community, present in many countries of the world.
Still today, the humble, simple, generous and courageous work of the religious, inspired by the charity of Christ and of the Virgin Mary, as was Mother Clarac, reflects the dynamism more alive than ever of the Congregation, under the guidance of the Sisters of Charity of Saint Mary.
In your reading, you will discover that: “Good, well-done, done through love, spreads by the grace of God”. Mother Clarac
