50 years ago, on December 27, 1968, Residence Angelica opened its doors in Montreal.

We owe the realization of this work to Mother Anselme Marie Parisotto, Superior of the Community at the time. Visionary and avant-garde, she built at the edge of a river, a nineteen-story skyscraper which can accommodate 529 autonomous and semi-autonomous people, creating a safe environment of life where a true family spirit reigns. Several services are available there and the residents organize many recreational activities.

With the passage of time and the ageing of the population, the needs of the elderly in the Montreal area have changed, causing the mission of the Residence to evolve. Its installations have been modified and adapted. Today, it lodges 347 residents who require a maximum of hours of care. Family spirit, cordiality, respect and kindness remain values which guide the work of the personnel and the direction.

The celebrations to highlight the 50th anniversary will begin on December 14, 2018.

A special thanks to Sr Claire and to all the members of the personnel and long life to Residence Angelica!
